MPP, start your engines. Travis Kvapil will be driving the #32 MPP Mechanical Protection Plan Ford in the 5-hour Energy 400 on May 10th. In his NASCAR career, Travis has had seven top ten finishes and claimed one pole position, along with nine wins in the Truck Series. Saturday Night Is All Right for Fighting as this race will be held under the lights with the green flag dropping at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. After the crash fest that took place at last week’s Talladega Race during the last 40 laps, the drivers will be out to settle the score.
The Kansas 1.5 mile track is a tri-oval much like Talladega with banking in the turns at about 20 degrees. Look for qualifying speeds over 190 mph and lap times around 28 seconds per lap – that’s fast! The packs Saturday night should be big and wide with exciting door-to-door racing.
Here is the qualifying and race schedule:
FRIDAY, MAY 9:
5:40 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coors Light Pole Qualifying, FOX Sports 1
SATURDAY, MAY 10
6:30 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 5-Hour Energy 400 on FOX. Be sure to watch and cheer the #32 MPP car & Travis on.
Go Green Racing & Travis Kvapil are extremely excited to have partnered with MPP and proud to have them as a sponsor on the #32 car.
